AirCars is a video game published in 1997 on Jaguar by ICD, Inc.. It's an action and racing / driving game, set in a post-apocalyptic, sci-fi / futuristic, shooter, vehicle simulator, automobile and combat vehicules themes.

I have an autographed copy of this game; it was one of the first (and just about only) network enabled Jaguar games that allowed for up to 8 players when connected with the appropriate peripherals. Provided everyone had the same hardware! The network connection hardware cost more than the game, which wasn't cheap to begin with.
The game was not quite a tech demo, but it was unfinished. Completely playable and very entertaining, especially with the multiplayer, but the sound effects were mostly stand-in sorts of temporary or filler audio effects so that the game wasn't silent.
I will always remember the spoken "target destroyed" voice over... I believe that the girlfriend of one of the developer's had lent her voice to the project, to be forever immortalized as voice talent that sadly did not continue with a lucrative career in voice acting.
